SATURDAY 11TH MARCH 2006
This day became quite a milestone in the history of Lorrentino Rex at Cat Shows when all 5 entries bred by me won their Open Class!! Here's a little bit about them all:-
CHAMPION LORRENTINO LANGLEY ARDRAM 33 14a - Cornish Rex Male Adult
(Cowboy Claws Frontier Scout x Ardram Red Bartsia)
"Langley" is my Orange-Eyed White Cornish Rex who came to the show with CC, BOB and BOV at The Scottish, CC & BOB at Coventry and Leicester and, I am delighted to say, gained his 3rd CC and Title at The Lancashire aged just 10 months and 11 days! Langley is named in honour of the late Marjory Draper of Ardram cats who bred his Mother.
LORRENTINO LONESTAR 33 31s - Cornish Rex Male Kitten
(Ch Lorrentino Jingos Loverman x Cowboy Claws Lonestar Cowgirl)
"Friesian aka Freezy" is my Black Smoke and White Cornish Kitten who repeated his success from Coventry and Leicester by gaining his 2nd BOB at his 2nd Show aged 5 and a half months. He has inherited the gentle termperament of his Father and late Grandfather, Gr Ch Lorrentino Jingo Lobo.
LORRENTINO LUMINOSITY 33a 14c - Devon Rex Male Kitten
(Curlicues Puccini x Lorrentino Lookat Daisymay)
"Louie" made his show debut aged 7 and a half months with BOB Devon Kitten and a fantastic Red Card Day! Louie's willing slaves, Pauline Lund and her Grand-daughter, Louise Cowell, showed him to perfection in pristine condition - not an easy task as Louie is a Green-Eyed White!!
LORRENTINO DE-LICIOUS 33a 31gts - Devon Rex Female Kitten
(Lorrentino Levi Bluetab x Sangeorge Miss Bronte)
"Cutie" is a 6 and a half month old Blue Tortie/Silver Tabby & White who won her Open Class of 3 Devon Rex Female Kittens when I
took her to the National in December. Cutie has purred her way into the hearts of Emma Rhodes and The Curlypurpots and continued her winning ways with a 1st in an Open Class of 4 Devon Rex Female kittens.
LORRENTINO ADAMPROUD LOCK 33 36d - Cornish Rex Male Neuter
(Ch Lorrentino Jingos Loverman x Sapele Valda)
"Enzo" is a 2 years 1 month old Red Smoke Cornish Rex Neuter who had never
been to a Cat Show before. His best friend, Anna Laverty, had never exhibited at a Cat Show before - but what a fabulous day they had! Enzo took it all in his stride and, in typical Rex fashion, soaked up all the attention and got the PC and BOB.
After 24 years and a lot of generations, I am so proud of all my cats, past and present, who have made this day happen. Certainly a "Once In A Lifetime" that I will never forget, made all the more special because they are a mix of Cornish Rex and Devon Rex, Adult, Kittens and Neuter and, I feel, a true reflection of what I am constantly striving to achieve. My grateful thanks to Emma, Pauline and Louise and Anna for making my day :))
